Hi! I'm Alex and I started Balance Bookkeeping in 2009. I truly love helping people find educated and thoughtful answers to their business questions through numbers data and tracking. Efficient systems, a good fit with your bookkeeper, and a little help keeping track of the numbers and filings can make all the difference in growing and managing your business. I have over 15 years of experience doing bookkeeping and accounting for businesses large and small, for-profit and non-profit. I can also assist in setting up personal household finance systems so that income taxes and 1099s for nannies, housecleaners etc. are stress and hassle-free.

How Does it Work?

That depends on you and the level of services you need. Generally, I work out of my home office. Clients either drop off their monthly paperwork (sales slips, receipts, bank statements etc.) or I can pick up the materials on a set schedule. I can also make a regularly scheduled trip to your office (weekly, monthly, etc.) to do the work there on your system, or we can pass a QuickBooks file back and forth between us.

Some of my clients do not use QuickBooks themselves, but rely on me to produce reports when needed, file their state and local taxes or do their payroll through my QuickBooks system. In this case, I provide an organized, annual folder of all the tallied sales data, expense receipts and bank statements as well as a set of complete financial statements for the year. I also provide a QuickBooks backup to the CPA who will be doing the federal business or personal taxes in time for filings.
